Laurence Cromp-Lapierre is a partner in our Business Law, Capital Markets and M&A Groups in Montréal. A skilled negotiator and dealmaker, Laurence provides exceptional guidance that enables clients to capitalize on opportunities that drive value and growth.

Laurence’s practice focuses on several areas of securities and corporate law, particularly corporate finance (public offerings and private placements), capital markets, and public and private mergers and acquisitions. She has represented public issuers, financial institutions and investment funds, as well as industry leaders in a variety of sectors. In addition, she frequently advises public companies on matters relating to continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance and other securities law matters in the ordinary course of business.

Clients turn to Laurence for practical and innovative solutions that deliver results and reflect their business needs. Laurence supports leading organizations on their complex transactions and matters in a wide range of industries, with a focus on maximizing outcomes and minimizing risks.

Outside of her daily practice, Laurence plays an active role at Université de Montréal, in particular as a course lecturer in business law. She also sits on the board of directors of the Société de sauvetage du Québec and has been involved in the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation since 2018.

Laurence received her Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from Université de Montréal. She also holds a Certificate in European Law from Paris Panthéon-Assas University, a JD degree from Queen’s University, and an LLM from the University of California, Berkeley. She was called to the Québec Bar in 2015.
