John received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. While attending law school, he volunteered as a peer mentor and worked on a project for Pro Bono Students Canada analyzing the ways in which access to post-secondary education can be improved for persons with disabilities. John spent his 1L summer at a litigation boutique in Calgary and his 2L summer at McCarthy Tétrault.

Prior to entering law school, John attended Queen’s University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry. While completing his undergraduate studies, John volunteered as an Academic Advisor on the Department Student Council and conducted research in the field of transition metal chemistry.

In his spare time, John is an avid runner, golfer, and hiker who loves to spend time in the mountains.
