With experience in both the private sector and in municipal government, Jamie achieves efficient and strategic resolutions for clients’ land development matters.

Jamie Cole is an associate in our Real Property & Planning Group in Toronto. He maintains a practice focused on municipal, land use planning, and land development law.

Jamie advises clients on the complex development approval process, and has appeared before municipal Committee of Adjustments, the Toronto Local Appeal Body, and the Ontario Land Tribunal (formerly known as the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and Ontario Municipal Board). 

Jamie obtained his J.D. from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, and completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Urban Studies from the University of Toronto, where he concurrently worked as a Constituency Assistant for a Toronto City Councillor. During law school, Jamie completed a full-time placement at the Legal Assistance of Windsor (LAW) clinic and co-founded a club focused on municipal and planning law issues.

Jamie is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where he sits on ULI Connect Committee. Jamie is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), where he formerly served as a member of the Municipal Section Executive.
