Gavin is a law student at Dalhousie University. He has an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, with a major in political science and a minor in literature. At McGill, he was editor-in-chief of a publication on political violence.
At Dalhousie, Gavin has served as an editor for the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies and the Dalhousie Law Journal. He has also volunteered for Pro Bono Dalhousie, helping the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador develop policy on gender self-identification in court. Last summer, he worked as a research assistant, updating open-source property law casebook. After graduating, Gavin will clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Toronto.
In his free time, Gavin likes to read, listen to music, and bake.
