Elle recently completed her second year at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Science (Specialization) with distinction from the University of Alberta. During her studies, she worked in research at the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and the Douglas Research Centre. She also operated her own e-commerce business: Jewel Haus Cosmetics Inc.

In law school, Elle is an active member of the community. This year she served as Co-President for both the Black Law Students Association and OUTLaws, developing her skills in advocacy and community building for equity-seeking groups. Last year she also volunteered at the 519 Trans ID Clinic and Artists’ Legal Advice Services.

Elle’s hobbies include travelling, yoga, Pilates, and exploring speakeasies in the city.
