Law School

University of Ottawa

Daniel graduated from the University of Ottawa with a joint BCL/JD law degree on a full-ride scholarship. Prior to his university studies, he completed his entire education at Collège International Marie de France, a Lycée school where he obtained a French Baccalauréat degree in Sciences, as well as several awards for his exemplary volunteer work and commitment.

Daniel has been a research assistant to several law professors, including the Dean of the Civil Law Faculty, as well as Director of the University of Ottawa Health Law Journal. Having completed a trial advocacy practicum, he is interested in litigation, and more specifically in health law, and issues surrounding medical liability.

Daniel has distinguished himself at various stages of his academic career by obtaining a full-ride scholarship for his legal studies, as well as an undergraduate research scholarship in law. Daniel has also been awarded the highest honours in each of his academic years.

Daniel believes in the benefits of social involvement. This led him to run for and be elected to the University Senate as a representative of the Civil and Common Law sections, following an election campaign focused on mental health and wellness. It is this same passion that led him to become involved with the Canadian Bar Association as a faculty representative to amplify the voices of students. Currently in the COVID-19 context, Daniel is a front-line worker at his local CHSLD.

Daniel is a polyglot, with native proficiency in French, English, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), and German.

In his spare time, Daniel enjoys running and swimming. His other interests include technology, languages, and home remodeling.
