Université Laval

Charles-Olivier is currently completing his Bachelor's degree in Civil Law at Université de Montréal. He obtained a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Science, Literature, and Arts from Lionel-Groulx College in May 2022.

In his first year in law school, Charles-Olivier did a pro bono project which had the objective to inform Sherbrooke's First Nation community about the legal issues concerning online purchases. Afterwards, he worked for the Directeur des poursuites criminelles et pénales where he was able to improve his knowledge on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the complex ramifications of Criminal Law. Recently, he worked with Professor Patrick Garon-Sayegh as a research assistant in a project related to confidentiality privileges that are recognized by the Wigmore criteria.

Always eager for adventure, Charles-Olivier loves to run long distances in the backcountry and to travel to discover untouched natural habitats. He also enjoys reading, writing, playing the guitar and engaging in rock climbing.
