Quebec, 2015

Céleste Perreault-Lévesque is a counsel in our Litigation Group in Montreal. Her practice focuses mainly on civil and administrative litigation, more particularly in matters of medical and professional liability and disciplinary law.

Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Céleste advised and represented various offices of the syndic of professional corporations in disciplinary processes and investigations. She began her career in a firm specializing in medical, dental and hospital liability. In the course of her practice she acquired a solid experience in health law, disciplinary law, bodily injury and forensic psychiatry, and was called upon to represent her clients before various administrative and civil tribunals. She notably acted as co-counsel for the applicants in their successful constitutional challenge to the sections of the Criminal Code and the Act Respecting End-of-Life Care governing the eligibility for medical aid in dying in Quebec and Canada.

Céleste obtained a Bachelor’s degree in civil law (LLB) from Université du Québec à Montréal in 2014, as well as a Master’s degree in health law and policies (LLM) from Université de Sherbrooke in 2020. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in public administration (MPA) at École nationale d’administration publique.

Céleste was called to the Quebec Bar in 2015.
