Belinda’s practice focuses on municipal law, including planning and development law, as well as assessment and property taxation. She provides strategic advice, and advocates for municipal and property tax clients before administrative tribunals and all levels of Ontario courts.

Belinda’s representative experience includes acting on assessment appeals of commercial, industrial and multi-residential properties; advising on the development of a retail, office and residential projects; and advising on provincial and federal infrastructure projects.

Belinda is on the executive of the Canadian Property Tax Association. She has given talks for the Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Bar Association, the International Property Tax Institute, and the Institute of Municipal Assessors, on a wide variety of topics, from electronic trials to advocacy in assessment appeals.

Belinda completed her JD at the University of British Columbia’s Allard School of Law. She has an undergraduate degree in English Literature from Princeton University. Belinda is a member of the Advocates Society, the Ontario Bar Association, the Institute of Municipal Assessors and the Canadian Property Tax Association.

Belinda is a founding member of the McCarthy Tétrault Parenthood Group.
