Amélie is currently completing a Bachelor of Civil Law well as her Juris Doctor at Université de Montréal. Before beginning her legal studies, Amélie obtained a Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs and Political Management at Carleton University where she was awarded the University Medal of her program for graduating with the highest academic standing. While studying at Carleton, Amélie was a member the swim team which allowed her to participate in various competitions across the province. She also worked as a teaching assistant in the French department at Carleton allowing her act as mentor for students.

Since starting law school, Amélie has led an active student life, notably through various positions in the Family Law Committee and by acting as an ambassador for the student community internships. Being passionate about equal access to justice, she worked with Juripop during the school year as a student. This opportunity allowed her to participate in the Month of Justice as well as to carry out research in various legal areas for the organization's lawyers.

In addition to her studies, Amélie worked as a dive instructor as well as a program manager on the Island of Saint-Martin in the Caribbean for several summers, which allowed her to travel a lot in the region. Being passionate about the outdoors, Amélie enjoys skiing, hiking and sailing with her friends and family in her free time.
