McCarthy Tétrault is pleased to invite you to an exclusive, invitation-only virtual event specially designed for General Counsel, Board members and C-suite executives. This event will offer both insightful analysis and practical “pro tips” from distinguished experts and C-Suite leaders. Upon completion of this session, participants will receive a session overview and further reading materials.

These sessions are designed to provide leaders with the in-depth knowledge that they might need to identify and advise on the risks, opportunities and practical implications of business critical legal and regulatory developments to their executive teams and boards, as well as to lead their legal team in implementing any changes to their organization’s policies or practices.

This segment will focus on some of the key challenges and governance lessons associated with implementing ESG principles and imperatives across larger or more complex organizations. This includes organizations that have operations in, or that make investments in, countries or businesses that are at an early stage of implementing ESG principles. How can an ESG-savvy organization successfully impose its ESG policies on newly-acquired businesses or in less-developed jurisdictions? What are some of the lessons learned that can be applied, both domestically and internationally?

This session will provide insights tailored to the types of business arrangements that are most prevalent in the industry. Participants will collaborate to share ideas and practical tips on how general counsel can get ahead of the issues and mitigate risk.

This session will be moderated by Robert J. Richardson, Partner and Co-Lead, ESG Advisory Team, McCarthy Tétrault LLP. The following panel of distinguished speakers will share their thoughts with us on this topic.

This program qualifies for up to 1.5 hour of CPD credit under the mandatory education regimes in British Columbia and Ontario.
