As I look back on 2023 this holiday season, I am reflecting on how much our friends, family members, and colleagues have stepped up to support each other in times of need. Whether it’s someone staying late to help a colleague, serving on the board of a local charity, or communities banding together to reach across borders with aid, I’ve seen so many moving acts of kindness this year.

Here at McCarthy Tétrault, colleagues and clients continually inspire me through their spirit of collegiality, generosity, and community, which echo the values of inclusion and equity that help shape our firm — and this makes me hopeful for a better future, where everyone feels safe, supported and connected.
