Karen is entering her final year of the JD program at Western Law. She holds a Bachelor in Management & Organizational Studies from the University of Western Ontario. Prior to law school, Karen worked at a major bank and at a leading consumer packaged goods company. Last year, Karen worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Richard H. McLaren, supporting projects and publications on a number of topics, including security in personal property, bankruptcy and insolvency, and dispute resolution.
Karen is very involved in the Western Law community. Her activities involve acting as a Managing Editor of the Western Journal of Legal Studies, Caseworker at Western’s Community Legal Services Clinic, and member of the Board of Directors at Western’s University Students’ Council.
This fall, she will be studying law in the Netherlands at the University of Groningen.
Karen enjoys watching documentaries and listening to Podcasts, refurbishing furniture, and exploring the outdoors.
