Sunny will complete a joint degree in common and civil law at McGill University in December 2017. As a law student, Sunny was Director of Communications at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill from 2016-2017. Taking advantage of the opportunities provided by the program to engage with diverse domains of law, Sunny also served as Managing Editor of the McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution, competed in the Harold G. Fox Moot (intellectual property), volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, and was a member of the editorial team of the law faculty’s student newspaper, Quid Novi.
Sunny grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, where he obtained a BComm with Distinction in Accounting at the University of Alberta. During this time, Sunny completed an exchange semester in Vienna, competed in business case competitions, and led the seminar portion of an introductory accounting course. Between his undergraduate degree and law school, Sunny worked at an international commercial real estate services group.
He spends his spare time finding ways to maintain his Mandarin and German, all the while travelling, hunting for interesting non-fiction reads, and trying out new sports.
