Emily recently completed her third year of studies at McGill University’s Faculty of Law, where she is pursuing a joint civil law and common law degree. She will be completing her law degree during an exchange semester at George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC this Fall. She previously obtained a B.A. in Political Science and Communications at McGill University where she graduated with First Class Honours.
Over the past three years of law school, Emily was a founding member of the McGill Students’ Legal Startup Clinic, acted in Actus Reus’ annual theatre productions and worked as a tutorial leader for the Legal Research and Writing course. She worked as a junior editor for the Oxford Yearbook of International Investment Law & Policy and was also a finalist at the Davies Corporate Securities Moot this year. Emily spent one summer working as a legal intern at the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic in Ottawa and another summer working as a Contract Coordinator at Just for Laughs.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys urban exploration, yoga and all things culture, particularly novels, theatre and stand-up comedy.
