James returns to the firm as an articling student after having clerked at the BC Court of Appeal.
James received his JD from the University of Victoria, where he was an active member of the law school community. He volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada, participated in the Bowman National Tax Moot, served on the Curriculum Review Committee, and worked as a research assistant to the faculty. In his final semester, James studied abroad at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London, UK, where he was awarded the class prize in International Investment Law.
Born in Vancouver and raised in California, James received a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema from the University of Southern California. After university, he spent several years living and working in New York City before pursuing graduate studies in Canada. He received a Master of Arts in Theology from Regent College in Vancouver. Outside of work, James is a proud dad, baseball fan, and oft-frustrated bike mechanic.
