Brianne completed a concurrent JD (French) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa and a Masters in International Affairs at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University. Prior to law school, Brianne graduated summa cum laude from an undergraduate program in Environmental Studies (Bilingual) at the University of Ottawa. During her undergraduate degree, Brianne completed a one-year exchange to ZhenJiang, China where she studied Mandarin and Environmental Sciences.
In the summer of 2015, Brianne interned at the Permanent Mission of Canada to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland where she gained exposure to international trade law and worked on many disputes involving Canada. While pursuing her studies, Brianne interned and then worked for Global Affairs Canada in the Environmental Law Section. She also worked as a Research Assistant for the Faculty of Law, as a Coordinating Assistant for the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (uOttawa Chapter) and as a tour interpreter for the Supreme Court of Canada.
Brianne is also involved in many volunteer projects, where she served as the Chair of Professional Development for the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (uOttawa Chapter) and on the National Committee. She was also the President of the Environmental Law Students’ Association at the Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa. Brianne has also been an active member of the Rotary International Youth Exchange Program (District 7010) since completing a youth exchange to Taiwan at the age of 17.
Brianne enjoys traveling and backpacking. She also enjoys running, cross-country skiing and playing organized sports, such as soccer.
