Lan recently completed her second year of law school at the University of Victoria, after having completed her first year of legal studies at the University of Windsor. During her time at UVic, Lan served on the Editorial Board for the student-managed law journal, Appeal: Review of Current Law and Law Reform. She was also an executive member of the Business Law Association. Most recently, Lan and her teammate won first place at the 2016 Canadian Client Consultation Competition, advancing on to represent Canada at the international competition where they placed as semi-finalists.
Prior to law school, Lan received a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with Distinction) from the University of Calgary. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Lan worked in the human resources department of a large multinational energy company.
In her spare time, Lan enjoys cooking cultural dishes, exploring new hiking trails, volunteering with local community organizations, and long-distance running.
