McCarthy Tétrault Lawyers Honoured as Rising Stars by Lexpert
Toronto, December 1, 2011 — Trevor Lawson and Sony Gill were honoured last night at Lexpert 's annual Rising Stars Awards Gala, which was held to recognize Canada's top lawyers under 40. The winners were nominated by their colleagues and chosen by an independent selection committee.
“We are extremely proud of Trevor and Sony, and feel that these awards reflect their leadership in the firm,” said Marc-André Blanchard, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of McCarthy Tétrault. “These are two very talented, dedicated lawyers who go that extra mile every day in response to the needs and challenges of clients. Their hard work, skill and intensity are an inspiration for us all.”
Trevor Lawson's broad practice encompasses employment litigation, labour arbitration, labour relations, transactions, executive compensation and privacy. Mr. Lawson has successfully represented key clients of the firm as lead counsel in matters before trial and appellate-level courts, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, boards of arbitration, and coroners' inquests.
