McCarthy Tétrault Leads for Highest Deal Value and Most Completed Deals in Thomson Reuters’ 2009 League Tables

Toronto, January 8, 2010 — McCarthy Tétrault holds top place for advising on the highest volume of Canadian deals in 2009, both completed and announced, Thomson Reuters reported in its year-end M&A league tables. The firm also leads for most completed Canadian deals in 2009. The firm advised on 79 completed Canadian M&A transactions worth over $51.8 US billion, and 77 announced Canadian M&A transactions worth over $52.2 US billion. Thomson Reuters classifies "deal volume" as the value of a deal.
