Adrienne Ho is an associate in our Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in Toronto. She advises on a broad variety of bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters, specializing in commercial insolvencies and restructurings. She recently published an article in the McGill Law Journal on the ability of parties to terminate contracts on a counterparty’s insolvency.
Adrienne previously articled with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, where she appeared before the Financial Services Tribunal and worked on both regulatory as well as enforcement matters. She was also nominated for an Excelsior Award as part of the Litigation Practice Group in the category of Excellence in Teamwork.
Following her articles, Adrienne was junior counsel with a publicly-listed insurance and financial services company, where she advised on insurance and pension products, securities, employment, mutual fund and e-commerce matters. She was also a member of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association’s Legal and Legislative Committee.
Adrienne obtained her BCom (Dean’s Honour List) with a major in Finance and a minor in Political Science from McGill University in 2011. She studied on the Pall and Appel Scholarship and received the McGill Alumnae Society Prize. She obtained her JD from the University of Toronto in 2014 and her LLM from Columbia Law School in 2017. While at Columbia, she was named a James Kent Scholar and provided policy recommendations to Mauritius' financial services regulator.
Adrienne was called to the Ontario bar in 2015. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations. She speaks conversational French and Cantonese.
