Amy Dupuis-Sène is an associate in our Labour & Employment Group in Montréal. Her practice is focused exclusively on immigration law, more specifically on the international mobility of workers and business people nationally and abroad. Ms. Dupuis-Sène offers comprehensive immigration services to individuals and Canadian and multinational companies, including on Canadian and foreign work permit matters.
Ms. Dupuis-Sène has acquired litigation experience before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, she completed an internship at a law firm specialized in major economic crime. During this period, she represented clients’ interests at trial before the Court of Québec, as well as the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal of Québec.
While in law school, she worked as a research assistant and was a contributing author to a doctrinal reference work. She has been involved in various community and paraprofessional initiatives in recent years. For example, she worked as a legal intern at a community organization and served as vice-president of events on the Université de Montréal’s social action committee. She also sits on the executive board of directors of Fondation Pinel.
Ms. Dupuis-Sène holds a Bachelor’s of Civil Law (LLB) from Université de Montréal and a certificate in labour law from Université du Québec à Montréal. She was called to the Québec Bar in 2015 and is a member of the Young Bar of Montreal, the Canadian Bar Association and the Association québécoise des avocats et avocates en droit de l’immigration (AQAADI).
