David Nachfolger is a member of our Labour and Employment Law Group in Montréal. His practice focuses on immigration and emigration matters for multinational companies both in Canada and abroad. This includes supporting all business sectors with complete immigration and visa services, including overall strategic global mobility policy and planning, temporary resident and work permits, permanent resident applications, citizenship issues, inadmissibility challenges, and family sponsorship. In addition, he also assists clients with securing their employees’ right to work in locations outside of Canada by obtaining status abroad.
Mr. Nachfolger obtained his law degrees (B.C.L./LL.B.) from McGill University. Prior to embarking on his legal career, he led one of the European Union’s principal Brussels-based youth organizations, with 200,000 members across Europe and the former Soviet Union. He subsequently moved to Geneva where he spent five years at the philanthropic division of a private Swiss financial services company, helping oversee a portfolio of development, medical research, education, and cultural projects in 50 countries. Throughout his international career, he gained significant experience working with foreign governments and multilateral agencies, including the European Commission, the United Nations, and the Council of Europe. While a law student, he advised the International Organization for Migration on specific elements of their German Forced Labour Compensation Program.
Mr. Nachfolger holds a Bachelor’s degree from Concordia University and a Graduate Certificate from McGill University’s Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL). He was called to the Quebec Bar in 2013.
