Shauvik graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (JD ’15) after attending the Queen's School of Business at Queen's University, where he specialized in accounting and finance. While studying business, Shauvik also completed a semester abroad at ESCP Europe School of Management in Paris, France.
Prior to studying law, Shauvik audited with a Big Four accounting firm. Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Shauvik worked with the legal team of a leading wealth management firm in downtown Toronto. His previous experience working on the initial public offering (IPO) for a large Canadian CPG manufacturer contributed to his desire to practice corporate law.
During his legal studies, Shauvik served as the coordinator for the PBSC-McCarthy Tétrault Public Interest Internship, after completing the internship himself the previous year. Outside of work, Shauvik actively follows North American financial markets while managing both personal and competitive trading accounts. He enjoys snowboarding, politics and keeping up to date on current affairs.
