Brandon Mattalo is an associate in McCarthy Tétrault’s Litigation Group in Toronto. He maintains a broad litigation practice with a particular interest in commercial disputes, product/service liability and professional liability matters. In addition to traditional litigation, Brandon is interested in legal innovation. Specifically he is interested in finding cost-effective alternatives to resolving disputes and utilizing technology to increase access to justice and reduce the costs of providing legal services.

Brandon received his JD from Queen’s University in 2015 where he graduated as a bronze medalist. While at Queen’s, Brandon competed and helped coach the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration moot in Vienna and various pre-moots across the world. At Queen’s, Brandon was also extensively involved in the tutoring program where he helped students achieve academic success.

Brandon received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2012. Brandon was involved in the school’s co-op program where he gained practical experience in the consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical and software industries.

Brandon was called to the bar in 2016 and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
