Jennifer McKendry is counsel in our Toronto Litigation group.

Jennifer carries on a general litigation practice with particular emphasis on criminal, health law and medical defence cases. She acts as counsel to the Canadian Medical Protective Association and in this capacity she represents physicians before all levels of court, tribunals, boards and inquests. Jennifer has been engaged in both prosecuting and defending professionals before disciplinary tribunals and has appeared as trial and appellate counsel for several self-regulating professional colleges in Ontario.

Jennifer was featured in the May 25, 2012 issue of The Lawyers Weekly. "'Hallucination' defence accepted" discusses the R. v. Muyco Ontario Court case, in which she successfully represented the accused health care provider by advancing the novel legal defence of medication induced hallucinations.

Jennifer has been a guest instructor at the annual Osgoode Hall Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop for over 10 years. She received her BA (Hons.) from the University of Toronto (Victoria College) in 1997, and her LLB from the University of Ottawa in 2000.

Jennifer is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Advocates' Society, the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto and the Criminal Lawyers’ Association.
